Indian investitor build hotels in Vrnjacka Banja and Belgrade

Indian company East West Links has commenced a construction of a hotel in Vrnjacka Banja, and is planning to also build a hotel in Belgrade, said President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Cadez.

During the business forum Serbia-India, in his statement for Tanjug, Cadez said that a large company in the field of IT and G-Tec Education is also interested in doing business in Serbia.

This is very important for Serbia as we need further development of our fairly strong IT sector, said Cadez, adding that our country has showed 40 per cent increase in the IT industry sector.

“We have to take care of further development and education of the employed in this industry in order to provide for additional growth. Present here are Indian investors who already started projects in Vrnjacka Banja in the field of hotel industry and who have announced the construction of a hotel in Belgrade, too. Then, there is a large Indian company interested in investing into our food industry and agriculture in order to export to India” – said Cadez.

Cadez said that there will soon be established a Business Council of Serbia and India, the body which will provide necessary information to interested businessmen and will render logistical support.

Mr. J. Prakash of East West Links has confirmed to Tanjug that the company started construction works in Vrnjacka Banja and that they plan building a hotel in Belgrade, too.

He says that the company is engaged in the field of hotel industry but also in sports tourism as well as in organizing sports programs for children.

“We have for now purchased a land plot in Vrnjacka Banja to build a hotel there because we expect a lot of tourists from India and Midle East to visit Vrnjacka Banja. We are also engaged in sports tourism, we bring children from India and Middle East and soon we’ll bring children from China, too. There are currently 70 children from India spending their summer vacation in Serbia, and in the summer of 2019 we plan of organizing visit for 500 children” – said Mr. Prakash.

“After we will have finished the hotel in Vrnjacka Banja , by 2020, we are interested in building a hotel in Belgrade, not only because there has been a lot of interest expressed by our clients but also because we wish to show our well known Indian hospitality. I think that it could be a place where people from all over the world would come” – he added.

He said that he doesn’t know a possible location of their future hotel in Belgrade because they are now focused on Vrnjacka Banja hotel which will have Indian spa, yoga center and also display other aspects of Indian culture.
