In the first 8 hours since the ticket sales for the upcoming 49th International Film Festival, FEST, was launched, more than 2,000 tickets were sold at the box office of Sava Centre, Kombank Dvorana, Dom Omladine Beograda, Cineplexx Galerija Beograd, at Ticket Vision points of sale and www.tickets.rs .
Damir Handanović, director of CEBEF and Vice Chairman of the Board of “FEST”, expressed his satisfaction:
“FEST has a loyal audience, which even in the difficult times caused by the pandemic eagerly awaits a quality film programme, and together with us, at CEBEF, FEST does everything to maintain and revitalise the film scene in Serbia. I am especially happy that we have large and important cultural events, such as FEST, SOFEST and Bemus, but also other events that we are planning in the coming months. Thanks to these events, Belgrade will come back to life again while still adhering to all the epidemiological measures prescribed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia”.
This year’s festival is held under the slogan “Back to the Future” and, as the largest and most popular film event in the country and the region, FEST stimulates the return of audiences to cinemas. Over 70 latest films, both national and foreign, will premiere at FEST.
The International Film Festival FEST is organised by the Belgrade Festival Centre (CEBEF), under the auspices of the Belgrade authorities, and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information.
