Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic officially opened an eight-storey Hilton Hotel in Belgrade yesterday.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic, Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali, Vice President of Hilton Europ. Jochem-Jan Sleiffer, the US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott, a representative of Belaga Management Belgrade, Zlatko Zdunjic and General Manager of Hilton Belgrade, Nicolaas Houwert.
The new five-star-hotel is located on the corner of Kralja Milana and Kralja Milutina streets and it boasts 242 luxury rooms. It is also in the close proximity to major sights like Square Slavija, St.Mark’s Church, the National Museum, Republic Square and the National Theatre.
The hotel also features an underground garage. As previously announced, around 300 people will be employed at the hotel. The contractors on the project were mainly Serbian companies.
