Half of Serbian population graduated high school, 1/5 have only primary education

In Serbia, 98.04% of the population aged 10 years and older is literate, according to the data collated by the State Statistical Office published on the occasion of International Literacy Day.

Among citizens aged 15 and over, 48.93% of the population have graduated high school, a fifth of them (20.76%)  have graduated only from elementary school, while only 10.58% have a university degree.

When it comes to computer literacy, 72.4% of citizens in Serbia use computers. Expressed in percentages, they are mostly used by students 99.8%, workers 92.7% and unemployed 83.6%.
