The Serbian government plans to borrow around EUR 190 million to complete the construction of the linear infrastructure for the National Stadium from Poštanska Štedionica Bank and UniCredit Bank.
The preparatory works for the construction of the linear infrastructure will be carried out by Power Construction Corporation of China Ltd, with which the government signed an agreement at the end of April.
The construction of the linear infrastructure entails traffic areas, road facilities, bridges, hydro-technical infrastructure, energy infrastructure, telecommunications infrastructure, gas and thermal technical installations, fire protection installations and devices, landscaping and green surfaces, as well as other installations and devices.
Construction is expected to be completed by the beginning or middle of 2026, Serbian Finance Minister, Siniša Mali, was quoted as saying a few months ago. The government plans to spend a total of 350 million euros on the construction of the 60,000-seat stadium of the 4* or 5* Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) category.
