Following the proposal of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Serbian government has suggested that employees working from home during the state of emergency can use the remaining annual leave days from 2019, in accordance with the relevant law and until 30 June 2020.
It is also recommended that employers who are unable to organize the work process during the state of emergency and have employees on paid leave, should allow their employees to use annual leave days.
Also, employers may allow the use of the remaining annual leave days from 2019 to employees who regularly carry out their work duties in their workplace during the state of emergency.

According to Labour Minister, Zoran Djordjevic this measure would ensure that workers keep their jobs while employers are also protected.
“Considering all the new measures we have proposed, we will try to help all citizens of Serbia equally while putting their health and safety first, but also providing them with the opportunity to exercise all the rights that belong to them,” said Djordjevic.
