At yesterday’s press conference of the Crisis Unit, Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević announced that the possible introduction of quarantine for passengers from abroad is being considered.
“People who are travelling are certainly a threat to the spread of the infection. Let’s see which models are the most optimal. We have considered the possibility of ordering quarantine and we will certainly talk about it in the coming days,” said Kisić Tepavčević.
To remind, Serbia is one of the few countries in the world that has almost no restrictions on entry into the country. On the other hand, citizens of Serbia can currently enter only 18 countries without having to show the results of a PCR test or be in quarantine after the entry.

At the press conference, another member of the government’s crisis unit, Mijomir Pelemis talked about the health workers gathered in the group “Ujedinjeni protiv korone” (United against corona), about 2,500 of them who signed the petition to request the dismissal of the Crisis Unit.
“I appreciate their opinion and would like to ask them to help us. We will accept any help we can get. We are fighting for all citizens of Serbia. We are fighting the virus. I have asked them to give us new ideas (how to deal with the health situation) and they did not give me any. I call for help from all my colleagues. I am not interested in politics and we will accept any proposal that is in the common interest,” Pelemis underlined.
