Germany’s Vorwerk Autotec to open a factory in Cacak?

The German company Vorwerk Autotec has expressed interest in setting up a factory that would produce pipes and gaskets for the automotive industry, as well as a testing center, in Cacak – the local website Reflektor reports.

As the web portal reports, on 9th March, the Cacak town officials received a letter of intent from the Germany company confirming that Cacak had been selected as the location for their new factory.

The plan is for the new plant to span close to 40,000 square meters in the first stage of the investment project, and around 65,000 square meters in its final phase, as well as to employ 1,000 workers over a six-year period.

The factory’s location, as selected by the German company, will be in the Business-Production Zone in Preljina (cadaster lot no. 2138/1).

Vorwerk Autotec was founded in 2002 being a spin-off from the Vorwerk & Sohn Group, established in 1827. The company prides itself in being an innovative development and manufacturing specialist for customised elastomer and metal parts for the automotive industry.
