Germany’s Schott Pharma starts building a factory in Jagodina

The German pharmaceutical company, Schott Pharma, had a groundbreaking ceremony on the site of its new factory in Jagodina which is supposed to employ 350 workers once finished.

The factory is located in the CT Park Industrial Zone and will produce glass ampoules for various medications. In the first phase, Schott plans to employ 130 workers.

 “Over 1,000 German companies operate in Serbia at the moment, employing over 76,000 workers. Germany takes the lead when it comes to the value of the total investments in our country with 12.8% of all foreign investments made”, said the Serbian Internal and External Trade Minister, Tomislav Momirovic, at the groundbreaking ceremony.

Schott Pharma was founded 130 years ago and today the company’s product portfolio ranges from drug containment solutions to drug delivery systems manufactured in collaboration with leading industry partners, including pharmaceutical syringes, cartridges, vials and ampoules. The company produces over 13 billion drug containers every year.
