Germany’s Fischer Automotive Systems and Greece’s Autostop opening more factories in Serbia

The German company Fischer Automotive Systems KD Jagodina will open a luxury car parts and accessories factory in Jagodina tomorrow, and the opening will be attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, representatives of the Jagodina City Assembly said in a statement.

The new production plant spans 8,000 square metres, is located in the Industrial Zone, and will employ 350 workers.

Apart from Germany, Fischer Automotive also has factories in the USA, China and the Czech Republic.

Another foreign investor, the Greek company, Autostop, plans to build a new factory in Leskovac, across from the existing plant, which will produce equipment for wastewater treatment plants that will be mostly exported.

On the occasion of the announced investment, the mayor of Leskovac, Igor Cvetanović, met with the owner of Autostop, Panayiotis Pitsikos, and the managers, Lazar Stojković and Igor Rajković.

Autostop has been operating in Leskovac since 2013, and currently employs 900 workers.
