The construction of a new Bizerba factory in Valjevo is planned to be finished by the year-end, when the production is also due to be launched.
The German company Bizerba is one of the global leaders in the production of measuring devices and a leading supplier of hardware and software solutions used in weighing, cutting and labelling technology.
“In the first phase, which will last two to three years, the company will create 300 jobs,” announced Marina Cvijetić, Sales Director of Bizerba Valjevo. At the recent job fair in Valjevo, she noted the company needed all sorts of workers – from production, warehouse, logistics and administration to strategic-operational procurement, finance and accounting.
At the job fair in Valjevo, the companies Bizerba, Hansgrohe, Hisense Gorenje, Valy, Turna and Urban Technics expressed their need for at least 500 new workers.
“Three factories are currently under construction in Valjevo, which will create close to 2,300 new jobs. We are working to ensure that the number of unemployed in Valjevo is at the level of a statistical error and that everyone has a chance to find a job,” the town mayor Lazar Gojković said at the opening of the job fair.
Substantial investments have been made in Valjevo by the German companies Bizerba and Hansgrohe. Also, the multinational corporation Hisense, owner of Gorenje, which has been operating in the town since 2006, is building its third factory there.
