Embassies and institutions from German-speaking countries in Serbia, together with numerous partners, are organising the German Language Days event for the first time, which is being held from 21 to 30 April in more than ten cities across Serbia.
The event aims to bring German language, art and culture closer to audiences of all ages through a diverse range of cultural and educational programmes, creating a space for meeting, exchanging ideas and new experiences. Through concerts, workshops, lectures, film screenings and interactive content, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the German language in a contemporary and vibrant context, as well as to familiarise themselves with various aspects of German culture – from classical values to current artistic and social trends. All programmes are free of charge.
The German Language Days will be opened by a concert by the German rapper Drob Dynamic, on 21 April at 6 p.m. at Dorćol Platz. He is an integral part of the German rap scene, raps about social issues and teaches young people in workshops; he is the founder of the Berlin Hip-Hop Academy, a platform for teenagers and young adults who want to be part of the hip-hop community.
