The legendary German electronic music band, Kraftwerk will perform in Belgrade, at Kombank Arena, on 24th February, 2018 as a part of the European leg of their 3D world tour.
“By fusing music and performance, Kraftwerk’s 3D concerts are a real example of Gesamtkunstwerk, or (in translation) a total work of art and reveal the complexity of the relation between humankind and machines”, Kombank Arena says in its press release.
Kraftwerk was founded in 1969 in Düsseldorf. In the 1970s, they were among the first successful pop acts to popularize electronic music and are widely considered to be innovators and pioneers of the genre. According to The Observer, “no other band since the Beatles has given so much to pop culture”. In January 2014, the Recording Academy honoured Kraftwerk with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
The upcoming months at Kombank Arena will be very busy with concerts. The singer of the worldwide hit “Despacito”, Luis Fonsi will hold a concert on 24th November, with the popular Montenegrin rap group “Who See” as his opening act.
One of the biggest concerts in Belgrade this year is definitely Nick Cave’s on 28th October, and Kombank Arena is even adding more seats to the venue to accommodate as many of Nick Cave’s fans as possible.
The fans of hard rock will be able to enjoy in the concert of the German band Scorpions on 7th December.
