German company PWO to open a factory in Čačak 

Čačak Mayor Milun Todorović has announced that the German company, PWO (Progress-Werk Oberkirch AG), would start building its factory in May this year.

PWO is a metal-working company that produces automotive components in Germany and the Czech Republic. The factory will be located in the Preljina industrial zone and will employ around 300 workers.

Once the factory is completely set up, it is expected to employ close to 800 workers. Around 80% of them will be college and university graduates. The factory will span 60,000 square metres, on 11 hectares of land.

The company was founded in Germany, over 100 years ago. It has a total of 3,000 employees and 9 factories. Its revenue in 2022 was 531 million euros.
