The German company A2000, a producer of printed circuit boards based in Friesenheim, has signed an agreement stipulating the purchase of one hectare of land in Svilajnac, where it is to build a factory spanning 1,000 square metres.
The agreement on the purchase of land in the New Industrial Zone was signed by the president of the municipality of Svilajnac, Predrag Milanovic, and the director and co-owner of A2000, Thomas Mueller.
The production at the factory should be launched in July 2020 and it will employ a hundred workers.

Milanovic pointed out that “a big step forward in the economic development of Svilajnac was made this year as a result of various investors planning to invest more than a billion dinars in this municipality next year”.
He also underlined that companies from Germany, particularly from the electronics industry, take precedent among foreign investors in terms of numbers. Milanovic also reminded that the German company HDT had bought land in Svilajnac on which it would build a production facility.
“A2000 will commence the construction of its factory in March. The agreement with the contractor has been signed and the production should start in July,” Milanovic also said.
Thomas Mueller said that he was satisfied with the cooperation with the municipality of Svilajnac and underlined that they had considered various locations prior to Svilajanac.
“Svilajnac quickly stood out as a positive town which meets our criteria fully. We have already started training the people who will work at our factory in Svilajanac”, he said.
