Garden Sessions concerts in Belgrade this June

The Garden Sessions concerts in the Jevremovac Botanical Garden will take place for the fourth consecutive time and are one of the most attractive summer events in Belgrade.

The Belgrade Festival Centre, which organizes the concerts in the Botanical Garden, is preparing great performances in June. Concerts start at 8:30 p.m. with the first concert lined up for June 25th of Amadou and Mariam, a duo from Mali, composed of the Bamako-born couple Amadou Bagayoko (guitar and vocals) and Mariam Doumbia (vocals). The duo collaborated with many different musicians and producers, like Damon Albarn from Blur and Manu Chao.

The day after, on June 26th, Sananda Maitreya (formerly known as Terence Trent D’Arby) is due to perform.  D’Arby’s debut solo album, Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D’Arby, was released in July 1987. The album produced hits including “If You Let Me Stay”, “Sign Your Name”, “Dance Little Sister”, and the number one hit “Wishing Well”.

Tickets can be purchased online at and at Ticket Vision sales points (at the Usce Shopping Centre and Cvetni Trg).

At a slightly higher price, tickets will also be sold on the evening of the concerts. The entrance to the concerts is from Takovska Street.
