The increase in excise duties on fuel will come into force on 1 July, which will increase the price of petrol by about one dinar per litre.
Therefore, the petrol excise will amount to 57.10 dinars per litre, on Eurodiesel to 58.72 dinars and on gas to 44.59 dinars.
Excise duties will be 57.37 dinars for biofuels and bioliquids and 68.45 dinars for other petroleum derivatives. Since the beginning of the year, the price of a litre of diesel went down by 33 dinars, while the price of petrol declined by 27 dinars per litre, due to the fall in the price of crude oil on the global market.

Excise duties have been harmonised with the annual consumer price index in 2019. The application of the new excise duties was supposed to start on 1 February, but it was then postponed until 1 June and now, according to a government decision, it will be postponed for another month.
