Next year, company registration (incorporation) in Serbia will be conducted completely electronically, without the need to physically go to the Business Registers Agency (APR).
Currently, this option is available only to small business owners and limited liability companies, while in the course of the next year, other types of companies such as joint-stock companies, partnerships and limited partnerships will be able to register their business online too.
“In 2022, online registration applications will be introduced for all remaining legal forms of business entities. The online option will also be available if you want to modify registered data and terminate the company. Online procedures are much more efficient and cost-effective and in due time, it will become the only option for registering a company, hence, future company owners should get acquainted with the procedure on time,” the Agency says.
The electronic incorporation application can be submitted if the applicant has a qualified electronic certificate (electronic signature), an installed electronic card reader and the NEXU application, which allows electronic signing of any certificate. The application is available on the APR’s official website.
“In addition to the above, the applicant must be an owner of a payment card (credit or debit) in order to pay e-registration fee which is lower than if incorporation application was submitted in person, at the APR’s premises. Once the e-application is submitted, the notification of registration will be sent to the applicant to the given e-mail or postal address,” the APR says.
