The National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) announced today that its goal is to completely automate the electronic payment process for fees through the ePlati system from 2027.
“Currently, via this system, it is possible to electronically generate a general paying-in slip which the user fills out themselves, whereas the goal from 2027 is for the entire process to be completely automated – citizens will select the service, and the system will automatically display what needs to be paid, to whom, and the exact amount,” they stated.
Jelena Bojović, Programme Director at NALED, said she expects a system from 2027 in which citizens will be able to select a service, and the system itself will calculate and display what is being paid, how much, and to whom.
“Once the full integration of the system is completed, from 2027 onwards, citizens will no longer have to manually enter the account number, amount, and purpose of payment. Instead, after selecting the desired procedure, the system will automatically display all the necessary taxes and fees, and the paying-in slip will be pre-filled,” Bojović said.
She appealed to all competent institutions to speed up the recording of taxes and fees through the official Unified Registry of Non-Tax Revenues so that the reform can be implemented within the scheduled deadlines.
“As part of the fee collection digitalisation reform launched by the Ministry of Finance, state authorities have until 30 June, and local authorities until 30 October to record all their taxes and fees, which is a prerequisite for the full implementation of the second phase,” the statement reads.
