French and Serbian authorities sign 22 agreements during Macron’s visit to Serbia

The representatives of French and Serbian authorities signed yesterday, 15th July, 22 bilateral agreements on the economy, military industry, education and culture, while, at the press conference, the two presidents exchange five state documents.

The documents are – a letter of intent for the project of construction of the Belgrade subway, the agreement on the purchase of thermal energy concluded between the company Beo Clean Energy and the Serbian company Beogradske Elektrane, and the contract for the delivery of the Mistral missile system signed with the company NBDA, says the Serbian government.

Agreements were also signed on film co-production and the status of French schools in Belgrade.

On behalf of Serbia, the Serbian Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, the Minister of Culture and Information Vladan Vukosavljevic, the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic and the Mayor of Belgrade Zoran Radojicic were present during the signing.

Among the documents signed are also the cooperation agreement between the Serbian Public Notaries’ Chamber and the Grand Council of Public Notaries of France, as well as the letter of intent on cooperation between the Chamber of Judicial Officers of Serbia and the National Chamber of Judicial Officers of France.

In addition, cooperation agreements were signed between Schneider Electric and Belgrade’s Faculty of Technical Engineering, and Schneider Electric and the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.

Furthermore, the representatives of the two countries signed a cooperation agreement in the segment of comic books, an administrative agreement on public administration reform, human resources management and professional training and an administrative agreement on sports.

The two sides also signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Embassy of France in Serbia and the French Institute in Serbia, stipulating fight against prejudice and discrimination in the education system, a cooperation agreement on teaching the French language in schools and an agreement on the Evofinder donation.

The two delegations also signed a letter of intent between French and Serbian customs administration, a technical agreement of the Ministry of Defence on the contract with MBDA, a memorandum of understanding between the public enterprise Beogradski Vododvod i Kanalizacija and the company Veolia and a memorandum of understanding between RTE and the Serbia electric distribution company EMS AD.

Finally, the letter of intent between Akua Energy SAS, IEL OIE Balkan Renewable Energy and the Provincial Secretariat for Energy, Building and Transport of the AP Vojvodina was signed in the presence of the company Basiadi Wind, stipulating the development of wind farms in Serbia. Furthermore, Proparco and Akua Energy SAS signed a letter of intent for the financing of the wind farm project and another letter of intent stipulating the development of deep geothermal projects in Serbia.
