The four-day Ethnic Food and Beverage Festival opens today at the Belgrade Fair.
This is a regional event that presents food and beverages prepared according to traditional recipes, mostly made from organic, locally grown ingredients.
On Thursday, a panel discussion on the topic “Importance and advantages of old varieties for the production of ethnic food and beverages” will be held, while on Friday, there will be a discussion about protecting the geographical indication of alcoholic beverages.
Saturday is reserved for the talk on the declining birth rate in Serbia and the development of declining rural areas. On the same day, the Brazilian embassy will present its country’s cuisine.
One of the topics that will be talked about on Sunday will be “Cyrillic script in the promotion of ethnic food and drinks”.
