It’s Thursday, and time for our report about the cultural and entertainment events coming up in the next few days.
Event: Fish Fest
Place: The Plateau in front of the Nebojsa Tower
Time: From 30th August to 2nd September
Fish Fest is the biggest gastronomical event on the river in Belgrade. This year’s Fish Fest is being held for the 12th consecutive year, on the plateau in front of the Nebojsa Tower, on Kalemegdan Fortress from Thursday, 30th August until Sunday, 2nd September. The festival’s visitors will be able to taste and enjoy the aromatic fish specialities, especially in the fish chowder, known as a delicacy in this part of the world. The festival will be accompanied by a music programme.
Thursday, 30th August, will be dedicated to the typical Sarajevo cuisine, the next day, on 31st August, the visitors will enjoy in the tasty Mediterranean fish dishes, 1st September is reserved for a young cooks competition, while on 2nd September, the experienced chefs will compete in making the best fish chowder. Entrance to the Fish Fest is free of charge.
Event: “Let’s Twist”, 1960s style dance event
Place: Cvetni Trg
Time: Friday, 31st August, at 19:30h
The Belgrade Tourist Board and the Bozidarac Centre for Education and Culture invite you to come to Let’s Twist and enjoy the melodies of the 1960s performed by the Orchestra for Emergency Mood Improvement this Friday. This dance event, where everybody is free to join it, will be led by the dance professionals from the Vracar Dance Club. Apart from the Orchestra for Emergency Mood Improvement, a famous Elvis Presley impersonator from Belgrade, Nesha Elvis will also perform the greatest hits of this legendary singer. The repertoire on Thursday, 30th August, will also showcase the music of acoustic performers and rock groups from Serbia.
Event: The Street Musicians Festival
Place: Petrovaradin Fortress
Time: from 30th August to 1st September
The 18th Street Musicians Festival – Gradić Fest – will take place from 30th August to 1st September, at the already well-known venue – the Lower Town of the Petrovaradin Fortress. During the three days of the festival, Gradić will once again become an artistic hub which streets will be brimming with musical events, theatre and art performances, film screenings and exhibitions. This year, the Festival will be host to the performers such as David Moreno, Bandacadabra, Mark di Giuseppe, Sol Cinema and others.
