First online register of fees and commissions in Serbia ready

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and NALED will present today a demo version of the first online register of taxes and fees in Serbia.

The implementation of this register should solve the problem of unpredictability in the collection of a large number of levies and prevent the non-transparent introduction of new duties, which burden citizens and the economy at the national, local and provincial level, the press release says.

In cooperation with NALED, USAID will also hold round table discussion titled “Exiting the parafiscal zone”, under the auspices of the USAID Support to Regulation of Para-fiscal Project, at the Hyatt Hotel, during which the representatives of the state, local government and businesses will exchange views on the future of the parafiscal reform, which, as stated, USAID, NALED and KPMG have been supporting for 10 years.

The conference marks the end of the non-tax revenue reform project funded by USAID, implemented by Partner Solutions, KPMG, NALED and the Mihajlo Pupin Institute.
