Finland’s PKC Wiring Systems plans to hire 300 more workers for its Smederevo plant

The Finnish manufacturer of wiring systems for the automotive industry PKC Wiring Systems Smederevo plans to employ 300 new workers in the upcoming period and expand its capacities by completing the construction of a new production hall, it was said at a meeting between representatives of the local self-government and the company’s management.

It was announced earlier that the new facility, which will span 11,000 square metres, would employ 1,200 workers.

Out of all companies located in the Smederevo Free Zone, PKC Wiring Systems DOO Smederevo has the largest turnover, according to the official website of the City of Smederevo.

This March, due to a decreased workload, the company had to lay off 150 part-time workers hired through a recruitment agency, the media reported.
