Finance Minister Siniša Mali said that he expected the foreign direct investment influx in Serbia to be around 4.5 billion euros this year.
In an interview with Kurir daily, he added that, at a time when the world is gripped by crisis, this result is beyond all government’s expectations.
Mali did not want to predict the results of the election but added that he believed exclusively in work and dedication.
“Our country has changed for the better in the last 10 years. We are building infrastructure, creating a favourable business environment, opening factories and creating new jobs. In the last 10 years alone, 500,000 new jobs have been created and unemployment is no longer the number one problem, as it once was. Although people live better today, we know that there may still be those who have not fully felt these changes. That’s why we have to work even harder so that every citizen can feel the improvement”, said Mali.
