The NIN Literary Award jury, consisting of Marija Nenezić, Branko Kukić, Ivan Milenković, Marjan Čakarević and Teofil Pančić (jury president), selected seven novels to compete for the award, during a meeting held on January 17, out of seventeen selected titles.
The finalists are: Vladan Matijević (for his book “Sloboda Govora” published by Laguna), Darko Cvijetić, (“Što na Podu Spavaš”, publisher: Književna Radionica Rašić), Svetislav Basara (“Kontraendorfin”, publisher: Laguna), Enes Halilović (“Ljudi bez Grobova”, publisher Laguna), Savo Stijepović (“Prekrasne Ruševine, publisher: Dereta), Bojan Savić Ostojić (“Ništa nije Ničije”, publisher: Kontrast Izdavaštvo) and Ognjen Spahić (“Pod oba Sunca”, publisher: Kontrast Izdavaštvo).
The winner of the NIN Award will be announced on Monday, January 25, at 13:00.
This year, due to the epidemiological situation, the announcement of the winner of the most important literary prize for a novel written in the Serbian language will be held online, via the Zoom application.
The sponsors of the NIN Award are Sberbank, a domestic company and two foreign companies, which wish to remain anonymous.
