Almost 2,000 workers from Fiat’s production plant in Kragujevac, who had been on paid leave since mid-March, have returned to work. In addition, production of the 500L model has been resumed, the president of the Nezavisnost trade union, Zoran Stanić, said today.
“Production started on Monday, but we worked only four-hour-shifts, while from today we are working regularly, in 2 shifts, from 6 am to 2 pm and from 2 pm to 10 pm,” said Stanic.
He says that the workers still have no official information about how much they will work during the summer, considering that August is a paid leave month in Fiat.
