Negotiations between the management of Fiat Chrysler Automobili (FCA) in Kragujevac and Fiat Plastik’s Strike Committee have failed.
On Wednesday, the company management met with the conciliator from the Agency for the Peaceful Settlement of Labour Disputes, but no agreement was reached.
Since Fiat did not want to give up its positions, as well as refusing to return the machinery they took from Fiat Plastik’s factory, the negotiations ended in a deadlock.
“For us, the negotiations ended because that the No 1 demand. We have nothing more to talk about and the strike continues,” Zoran Miljković, president of Fiat Plastik’s Strike Committee told Danas daily.
He admitted that the FCA management offered them to sign an illegal collective job agreement, because of which Plastik’s workers have been on strike since mid-February.
