The biggest film festival in Serbia, FEST, will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. It officially starts on February 25, with the screening of the film ‘Strahinja Banović’, a winner at Karlove Vary film festival.
Famous film director and actor, Emir Kusturica and Miki Manojlović respectively, both recipients of the Belgrade Winner Award, will also be special guests at the festival – the Belgrade Secretary for Culture and FEST Committee Chairman, Ivan Karl, has confirmed.
Karl also says that the renowned Russian film director, Nikita Mikhalkov, has confirmed his appearance, while Oliver Stone, who directed such cult classics as ‘Platoon’, ‘The Doors’, ‘JFK’, ‘Wall Street’ and ‘Born on the Fourth of July’, said he would confirm his arrival early next year.
