External trade in January amounted to EUR 4.8 billion

The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia in January 2024 amounted to EUR 4.8 billion, a 3.3% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Expressed in Euros, the value of exports amounted to EUR 2142.3 million, which was a 1.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. The value of imports amounted to EUR 2675.0 million, which was a 7.5% decrease when compared to the same period last year.

The deficit expressed in Euros amounted to 532.7 million, which was a decrease of 25.3% compared to the same period last year.

The export to import ratio stood at 80.1% and was higher if compared to the same period last year when it was 75.2%.

Serbia mostly exported to the countries with which it has signed free trade agreements, with trading with the EU accounting for 61.7% of total external trade.
