Export of Serbian ICT sector EUR 2.7bln in 2022

Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Thursday the country’s ICT exports had totalled 2.692bln euros in 2022, rising by 45 pct relative to 2021.

“Excellent news for Serbia: our ICT sector exports in 2022 according to official figures: 2.692bln euros (45 pct growth relative to 2021)!” Brnabic wrote in a Twitter post.

She added that, with ICT service imports of 732mln euros, Serbia had an ICT services trade surplus of nearly 2bln euros and that the surplus had risen by 48.8 pct relative to 2021.

To remind, the authors of the study “ICT In Serbia At a Glance 2022” estimated that the domestic IT market was worth 736 million euros in 2021, with growth of nine percent compared to 2020, while investments in the IT sector reached 108 euros per capita.

Co-author of the study and director of the Vojvodina ICT cluster, Milan Šolaja, told Biznis.rs earlier that the new goal should be IT investments of 150 euros per capita that is, the value of our IT market should reach one billion euros by 2025.
