Exhibition of one of the most famous Serbian painters opens at SANU

The exhibition ‘Uroš Predić – the Noble Essence of Everyday Life’, authored by Snežana Mišić, PhD, and Professor Igor Borozan, officially opened at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts Gallery (SANU Gallery), 35, Knez Mihailova Street, Belgrade, on Tuesday, 12 March, as a result of successful, several-decade-long cooperation on the promotion and presentation of the national art and cultural heritage between the Matica Srpska Gallery and the SANU Gallery.

Artwork from various collections will be displayed at the gallery, giving insight into the life and work of one of the most eminent Serbian painters, Uroš Predić. In addition to the paintings provided by the Matica Srpska Gallery, the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the National Museum, the National Museum of Zrenjanin, Matica Srpska, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Belgrade City Museum, the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade and many others, the exhibition will showcase the paintings from private collections, most of which have not been exhibited before.

The exhibition will be open until 26th May.
