An exhibition of 102 paintings by one of the best Serbian painters, Sava Šumanović, painted between 1919 and 1941, a part of the Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, will be staged at the Matica Srpska Gallery in Novi Sad.
The exhibition is titled “Sava Šumanović and European realism between the two world wars”.
This unique exhibition, the first of its kind in Serbia, will take place under the auspices of the Kaleidoscope of Culture event, one of the most significant undertakings of the European Capital of Culture programme, in cooperation with DDOR Osiguranje.
Most of the paintings are part of the Memorial Collection, Matica Srpska Gallery and Šumanović Gallery from Šid, while several paintings were shipped from France, North Macedonia and Croatia.
