The Serbian version of the famous German beer festival, Oktoberfest will be held on the premises of the Novi Sad Fair on 20th and 21st October.
The Novi Sad Fair and publishing company Color Press Group are the festival’s organizers this time around. This is the second time that Oktoberfest takes place in Novi Sad. Last year’s festival drew a total of 15,000 visitors who managed to finish off 32,000 litres of beer and 5,300 sausages.
The festival is being held under the patronage of the German Embassy in Serbia and the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Serbia) which officials Alexander Jung and Martin Knapp respectively will officially open it with the traditional tapping of the first beer barrel.
The festival offers many other fun activities like a beer stein holding and beer drinking competition, and a rock band competition called “The Battle of the Bands”.
As for the music entertainment, the bands like Love Hunters, SARS, Orthodox Celts, Amajlija, Blaza i Kljunovi, Drum’n’Zez and Hladno Pivo will perform.
