During the French President Emanuel Macron’s visit to Serbia, the television channel Euronews, the main European international information channel, and HD-WIN (Serbian media group) will announce the partnership project Euronews Serbi”, a new news channel and a digital platform designed for the Serbian public.
Euronews aims to promote reliable and independent media in Serbia and potentially in other territories where the Serbian language is used.
The launch of Euronews Serbia is part of the TV’s strategic ambition to position itself as the first global and local media company in the world. Euronews continues to develop as a global medium that offers content tailored to the expectations of local audiences; this is the second concession and is currently examining the possibility of other similar projects, the press release reads.

As stipulated in the contract, HD-WIN, a company belonging to the national telecommunications operator Telekom Serbia, will benefit from the brand recognition and reputation of Euronews, linking its new channel to a name well-known in independent journalism, the press release goes on to say.
Shortly before the launch of the programme, Euronews Serbia will employ almost 100 people locally.
The editor-in-chief of the Serbian channel and the editorial office will be chosen and controlled directly by the parent company itself.
