ElevenEs and Caterpillar to open a mega-factory in Subotica

The ElevenEs Company has completed the first closing of its Series B investment round, with the support of Caterpillar Venture Capital, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. As stated, Caterpillar is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-road diesel and gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives.

Furthermore, the investment round also included the participation of a subsidiary of BST (HK) Ltd., a key metals and raw materials trading company based in Hong Kong.

This transaction represents a significant milestone for the future of European battery manufacturing, as the funds raised will be used for the initial phases of infrastructure and equipment for the planned mega factory with a capacity of 1 GWh, the statement said.

Construction of the factory will begin in February 2026, while the first deliveries of battery cells are expected in 2027.

ElevenEs is boosting its proprietary LFP Edge battery technology in order to meet the stringent performance requirements of industrial vehicles and equipment in the mining, construction, rail, and maritime sectors. In addition, the technology is intended for battery electric vehicles (BEVs), buses, lorries, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The cooperation with Caterpillar strengthens ElevenEs’ mission to deliver robust and reliable, environmentally sustainable battery solutions to clients worldwide.
