Electricity price to go up 8% and gas price 10% as of 1 May

As of May 1 this year, the electricity price in Serbia will go up by 8% and gas by 10%, as approved by the Energy Agency Council (AERS).

The average price of electrical energy for the purchasers who have the right to a guaranteed supply at regulated prices (houses and small purchasers), taxes and fees excluded, will stand at RSD 9.50 per kWh, that is, RSD 13.31 per kWh with the taxes and fees included.

AERS Council has also approved a higher gas price by 10% as of 1 May. Gas will thereby cost RSD 4.13 per kWh (taxes and fees excluded), that is, RSD 4.55 per kWh with the taxes and fees.

The Agency has also said that, following the price adjustment, the price of electricity and natural gas for the guaranteed supply in Serbia, fees and taxes excluded, will still be one of the lowest in Europe.
