Electric Fiat Pandina will be produced in Serbia, Brazil and Morocco

The Fiat Pandina brand, which Stellantis Europe officially revealed this summer, is currently being tested at the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, and the official presentation of the “new Panda” is scheduled for July 11, 2024.

All things considered, and despite the negotiations with the Italian government about incentives being difficult and uncertain, the new electric car will be produced in Serbia, Brazil and Morocco, Forbes Serbia reports, citing Italian media.

The new Panda is the first low-cost electric car of the group, which will cost under EUR 20,000. The old Panda, the best-selling car in Italy, will continue to be produced in the Pomigliano factory by 2026.

In order to distinguish it from the new crossover Panda, the car produced in Italy is probably going to be named Pandina.

In any case, Panda’s future depends on Brussels, Italian media write, as reported by Forbes Serbia.

The revision of the EU decree on motor vehicle emissions envisages the postponement of the ban on Euro 7 engines by 24 months and it should come into force in 2027.

The CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, stated that “Panda symbolizes a certain lifestyle and we could extend the production of that model, but it depends on the Euro 7 debate.”
