Election in Kosovo: Vetevendosje! wins most votes, Serb List wins in north Kosovska Mitrovica

According to the most recent preliminary results of the elections in Kosovo and Metohija, based on 95% of the votes counted, the Self-determination Movement (Vetevendosje!) leads with 25.70% of the votes.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo is second with 25.07% of the votes, or 4,775 fewer votes than the party in command. The third is the Democratic Party of Kosovo with 21.15% of the votes. These results do not include postal votes, diaspora votes and votes of people with special needs.

Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic said three hours after the closing of the polling stations that Serb List, Kosovo Serb party supported by Belgrade, won in the all Serb-dominated municipalities in northern Kosovo.

He said that “today’s victory is the most convincing one in the Serb List history.”

After 100 per cent of votes counted in the north Kosovska Mitrovica, Serb List won 98.07 per cent of the votes, Vucic told reports in Belgrade, adding that in other municipalities with a Serb majority the party won over 90 per cent of the votes.
