A new museum, envisaged to be located in the University Park, will be dedicated to the famous Novi Sad singer-songwriter Djordje Balasevic, confirmed the director of the public company Urbanizam” Dusan Miladinovic, specifying that the space in the park will be dedicated in memory of the vastly popular singer.
As reported by the 021.rs portal, the museum will be located near the riverfront and the Danube, which Balasevic sang often about in his songs. The museum is planned to span 500 square metres, and will have an exhibition space, a multimedia room, a memorial room, as well as other departments.
According to the current proposal, an architectural competition will be launched before the construction commences. For now, there is no information on when the construction of the museum might begin.
Balasevic died on 19 February 2021, at the age of 67.
