An interactive artistic event called Dev9t, a festival unlike any other in the region, will be held in Belgrade’s Stara Ciglana from June 14th to 22nd. Under the slogan “Keep Creating,” Dev9t will bring together all kinds of artists and free thinkers to create a parallel, creative reality.
This year, Dev9t will feature the so-called ‘sunset specials’, specially designed music events, which will take place every festival day at sunset. One of the bands to perform at sunset specials will be Red Axes from Israel, who will perform on Thursday, June 20th. Red Axes is an electronic and indie music duo formed in 2010 by Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi. Based in Tel Aviv, the duo’s eclectic sound range is influenced by many genres, including disco, house, garage rock, post-punk, psychedelic rock and techno.
The theme of this year’s festival is alchemy and all the participating artists will symbolically turn into alchemists, reflected in the visual identity of the festival created by Aleksa Gajic.
The Festival will also feature several workshops, street art, literature, painting, sculpture, architecture, dance, photography, film and comic books, plus the festival visitors are encouraged to do their own art at the site which will be later exhibited.
