The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, will attend today the opening ceremony of the new factory of the Danish company Grundfos in Indjija.
The groundbreaking ceremony of this new 17,000-square-metre-plant took place in July 2021. The factory cost a total of EUR 20 million to be built.
Grundfos’ main products are pumps for heating and air conditioning, as well as pumps for water supply, wastewater and metering pumps. Grundfos has around 900 employees in its first factory in Indjija and the new factory will be the company’s largest so far in the world.
The new factory will also have a Golden Green certificate, which means it will be completely energy independent and recycle 100 per cent of its wastewater.
