Days of Korean Culture in Belgrade: Screening of The Royal Tailor

As part of the Belgrade Fashion Week, the Korean Embassy will screen the film titled “The Royal Tailor” which celebrates the elegance of the Korean folk costume (Hanbok).

The Royal Tailor is an exciting tale about the rivalry between two prominent royal tailors which eventually leads to numerous scandals and tragedies.

Although Hanbok is a traditional Korean folk costume, it became popular again in modern fashion and served as an inspiration to many contemporary fashion creators. Contemporary brands have incorporated elements of this ancient costume in their modern collections. Hanbok is also found in international haute couture with the famous Karl Lagerfeld designing clothes based on this folk costume for Chanel.

Hanbok has become particularly popular in street fashion and music industry, with international stars, such as Britney Spears, Jessica Alba, Venus Williams and many other athletes and musicians incorporating it into their wardrobe.

The film will be screened on October 19th, at 5 pm, and on October 29th, at 7 pm, at Kulturni Centar Beograd. Tickets can be purchased at the official Facebook page of the Korean Embassy –  @koreanembassyserbia .
