Dačić: Priština rewarded again for not honouring agreements

Priština is constantly being rewarded for its non-constructiveness and unilateral moves, while it threatens those who are correct like Serbia, said the Serbian Foreign Minister, Ivica Dačić.

The Foreign Minister also said that Priština is being rewarded with, for instance, the recent decision for the EU to discuss the possibility of visa liberalization, or submitting a candidacy for EU membership.

In his latest statement, Kosovo’s PM, Albin Kurti, says that dialogue with Belgrade is not his priority, refutes the existence of the Brussels Agreement and promises in front of the Kosovo Parliament that he will never allow the formation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities.

“That should be a cause for worry for the international community much more than Belgrade, as it directly negates the EU’s integrity, considering that the Brussels agreement was signed by Catherine Ashton and Hashim Thaci”, Dačić warns.

“These are some indicators that show who is the favourite here. You can clearly see that they treat Priština as their child and regardless of how much someone loves truth, justice and principles, the child is always the most important. For us, this sends a very bad message because it demonstrates double standards,” said the head of Serbian diplomacy.

Dačić also mentioned that he pointed out to the EU’s high representative for foreign policy, Josep Borrell, the problems that Belgrade is facing, considering Priština’s refusal to implement what was agreed, which completely paralyzes the possibility of progress in the dialogue.

When asked how Serbia can prevent Priština from applying for EU candidate status, Dačić replied that we cannot prevent the application as we are not (EU) members.
