Cupic: “1in5 million’s decision to participate in the elections is unacceptable and unreasonable.”

“The decision of the 1in5 Million Movement to take part in the next parliamentary elections in Serbia is totally unacceptable and unreasonable,” said today a professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade, Cedomir Cupic.

“I am quite sad to hear that. I supported these young people,” Cupic said and added that, during the last street protest in Belgrade, there were signs inviting parties to boycott the election and now the protest organizers are going to participate in the very same election.

“This is pure social schizophrenia. You say one thing and do another. We’ll see what’s behind this – time will tell,” Cupic added. According to him, the decision (to take part in the election) is absolutely unacceptable and unreasonable.

He also said that when it comes to elections, in addition to the usual parties that collaborate with Vucic’s SNS, there are also political parties which are weighing out everything, and now we have those who “are politically ignorant”.

“I don’t know if all the protest organizers agree with this decision and we don’t know what these people think. What they are doing is completely unreasonable, irrational, irrelevant, and it would be very dangerous if they were used by someone. They would be destroyed as people,” Cupic concluded.
