COVID passes now required from 8 pm – school holidays extended

Member of the COVID-19 crisis response team and Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Darija Kisic Tepavcevic announced that the decision was made to extend the autumn school break and that COVID passes will be mandatory from 8 pm, as of Monday.

Addressing the press, she explained that the introduction of COVID passes led to the increased frequency of vaccination. Accordingly, the Crisis Response Team decided to extend the period of the validity of COVID passes for catering facilities from 8 pm. Also, catering facilities are now allowed to be open 24 hours a day. The measure has also been extended to casinos and bookmakers and will come into force on Monday.

The Crisis Response Team also decided that the autumn break for primary and secondary school students will begin on Monday, 8 November, and will last until 12 November.

The Minister stated that 56 percent of adult citizens have been vaccinated, but that only every fourth person between the ages of 18 and 30 was vaccinated, which is why she appealed to all young people to help fight the epidemic by deciding to get inoculated.
