Coronavirus infection subsides in Serbia; weak interest in vaccination

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 1,271,794 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Serbia and 6,955,451 people have been tested. As a result of the disease, 12,113 patients have died and the mortality rate is 0.95%.

According to the latest data, 1,387 new cases of the coronavirus were registered out of 13,767 people tested and 38 people died. There are 3,180 patients in hospital, 187 of whom are on ventilators. The situation is slowly calming down, with fewer people being tested, but the number of deaths is still high.

Also, the interest in vaccination has weakened. So far, just over 58% of people in Serbia have been vaccinated. The team for the monitoring and coordination of preventive measures in schools has decided to continue with regular classes from today.
