The German firm Dr Oetker began constructing a new business center valued at 9.5 million Euro in Simanovci today. The first stone was laid by the German Ambassador to Serbia, Heinz Willhelm, and the outgoing vice president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
The CEO of the German firm Dr Oetker, Zoran Mitic, announced that construction of the 7,980 m2 business center would be completed within eighteen months. “The factory will be capable of producing 6,000 tons of powdered food product per year. The value of the investment is 9.5 million Euro,” said Mitic.
German ambassador Wilhelm declared that this company, as well as the other German companies that do business in Serbia such as Bosh, Siemens, and Mercedes, decided to expand to Serbia and that other companies will certainly follow. Wilhelm also thanked Vucic for having participated in the opening ceremony. “Your Excellence, today I did not have any engagements more important than this one,” Vucic said, adding that he hopes that future reforms will offer investors better conditions. Vucic also highlighted the fact that the new government will do everything possible to improve conditions for business in Serbia. Dr Oetker has done business in Serbia since 2011 and currently employs 185 people.
