Cinemas and theatres to open today

The government’s Crisis Unit has given a green light to opening of cinemas and cinemas, as well as to holding concerts in institutions of culture.

However, there are certain measures that the institutions of culture have to strictly adhere to such as that cinemas and theatres cannot take more than 500 audience members.

“This measure also applies to larger theatres and arenas. In addition, the organizers must adhere to all preventive measures during events, which were agreed upon during the meeting with Premier Ana Brnabic and representatives of theatres, cinemas and cultural events,” says the press release.

Masks must be worn at all times at cultural events and audience members have to maintain a physical distance of 1.5 metres, i.e. only every second seat should be occupied. The appropriate physical distance at outdoor events has also been determined.

The Deputy Director of the Milan Jovanović Batut Health Institute, Darija Kisić Tepavčević, said that all institutions will have to be disinfected before opening.

She added that there will be controllers, but that everyone is responsible for their own health.

The director of Kombank Dvorana, Igor Stanković, is of the opinion that cinemas should be a place of socialization and notes that all preventive measures will be respected.
