Serbia also attaches great importance to and provides strong support for Chinese President Xi Jinping’s global ‘Belt and Road’ initiative and the China-CEEC cooperation mechanism. “Our ambition for further development of political, economic and all other relations is great,” Brnabić said and congratulated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party.

Wang Yi highlighted that the friendship between the two countries has been developing to the benefit of both peoples. He added that China will continue being Serbia’s friend, which is why official Belgrade can fully count on help from China in all matters.

Wang Yi also said that there is still room for enhancing the cooperation, especially when it comes to trade, and since he knows how personally committed the Serbian PM is to the development of digitalization and innovation, China is fully at Serbia’s disposal in that segment as well.
